Optical Expansion Unit adds ability to add millions of square feet of coverage for Public Safety DAS Systems<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n (11 August 2019 \u2013 Milpitas, CA) \u2013 Comba Telecom, Inc.<\/strong> today announced the expansion of its 700\/800MHz CriticalPoint\u2122 Public Safety DAS product line to include a Fiber Optical Expansion Unit to extend Land-Mobile-Radio (LMR) public safety in-building communications signal coverage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The new CriticalPoint Fiber Optical Expansion Unit offers two options, a 4-port or 8-port model. Each unit can expand Comba\u2019s DAS solution, based on the number of ports, to add either 4 or 8 additional Remotes to the system for greater system coverage. Additionally, up to 3 Fiber Optical Expansion Units can be daisy-chained together to allow a maximum of up to 32 Remote Units to be controlled and managed by a single Comba DAS Master Unit. These expansion units support any of Comba\u2019s DAS Class A or Class B models and do not interfere or limit any of the systems overall features such as Automatic Gain Control (AGC) or Channelized Squelch. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited to add an expansion unit to our public safety Fiber DAS product line,\u201d says Don Henry, Comba Telecom\u2019s VP of Sales and Public Safety Program Manager. \u201cWe complete our public safety DAS product line up by now offering a solution that covers extremely large buildings or multiple buildings such as in a school or work campus environment.
